Ways to Give

Drop Off Food

Food donations from community food drives and industry partners are critical to helping us provide food for keiki, kūpuna, families and neighbors in need.

Because of Hawaiʻi’s unique geographical location, physical food donations remain an important part of Hawaiʻi Foodbank’s operational model. Your food donations help us quickly stock our shelves and maintain the flow of food to those in need. We obtain food from manufacturers and growers, distributors and wholesalers, grocery stores, as well as community food drives and individual donations. Whether you plan to make a difference on your own, as a member of a team or on behalf of your business — there are a variety of ways for you to donate food.

Drop Off Food at Our Warehouses

Hawaiʻi Foodbank is happy to receive your donations at our warehouses. We are open and accept donations from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.

For more information on how you can start a community food drive at your business, school, club, place of worship, neighborhood, organization or anywhere else — visit our Host a Food Drive page or check out our Food Drive Toolkit.

Drop Off Food in Your Neighborhood

Looking for a convenient place in your neighborhood to drop off your food donation to the Hawaiʻi Foodbank? We’re proud to partner with Kualoa Ranch, NAPA Auto Parts and Ruby Tuesday Hawaii as year-round food donation drop-off sites. Keep an eye out for a Hawaiʻi Foodbank collection bin at the following locations:

Nearly 1 in 3 Hawaiʻi households are struggling with food insecurity.

In 34% of households with children, one or more keiki are food insecure.

Food Industry Partners

While community food drives and individual food donations are extremely valuable, the scale of our work also requires the support of donors in the manufacturing, warehouse and logistics, produce and agriculture, and food services industries. The ongoing support of food industry donors is paramount to helping us nourish hundreds of thousands of Hawaiʻi residents each year.

For food industry donations, contact Teri Luna, Director of Product Resourcing, at teri@hawaiifoodbank.org or 808-954-7860.
