SUN Meals Program Assistant

Department: Programs – Food 4 Keiki
Reports to: Director of Keiki Nutrition
Position Summary: The SUN Meals Program Assistant will support Hawaiʻi Foodbank’s SUN Meals (Summer Food Service Program or SFSP) by serving as on-site support at community distribution locations. This position is field-based and works primarily at meal distribution sites.

Program Assistants are responsible for supporting and overseeing day-to-day operations at assigned distribution sites and are expected to work independently on-site. In some cases, they will serve as the lead point of contact on behalf of Hawaiʻi Foodbank at these food distributions. Program Assistants must be comfortable taking initiative, supporting site volunteers, and ensuring distributions run smoothly and in compliance with program requirements.

The Program Assistant will collaborate with site partners, volunteers, and families while demonstrating a strong commitment to Hawaiʻi Foodbank’s mission to address keiki hunger during the summer months.

The dates of employment are May 18 through July 31, 2026.
