Who We Are
Career Opportunities
At Hawaiʻi Foodbank, our people are our greatest asset — and our most powerful expression of mission.
We are building a culture of high-performing, deeply caring individuals — people who live our core values authentically, not just in words, but in how they show up every day for each other and for the neighbors we serve. We believe that empathy and excellence are not opposites. We turn care into action, and compassion into solutions our community can depend on.
When you join our team, you will find a place that invests in you, your growth, your wellbeing, and your ability to do your best work. We have the courage to grow, evolve and innovate because the needs of our neighbors demand nothing less. If you are driven by purpose, energized by collaboration, and ready to bring your whole self to work — we want to hear from you.

Development and Philanthropy
This is a rare moment to join a team being built — not filled.
At Hawaiʻi Foodbank, we are making a deliberate, multi-year investment in expanding our commitment to philanthropy, by building a team with the capacity to match the scale of our mission. The positions you see here are not the result of turnover — they are the result of intention. We are building a new structure, new discipline, and new capacity to deepen our relationships with donors and unlock the potential that fuels our mission: to nourish our ʻohana today while we work to end hunger tomorrow.
If you are a development professional who wants to be part of building something, not just maintaining it, this is that opportunity.

Open Positions
Director of Development Operations
Behind every strong donor relationship is a system that works. As our Director of Development Operations, you’ll lead our fundraising infrastructure — data, gift administration, and CRM systems — enabling the rest of Development to focus on what they do best: building relationships.
Director of Donor Engagement
You’ll build trust — and the systems that scale it. As our Director of Donor Engagement, you’ll manage your own donor portfolio and lead organization-wide stewardship strategy, ensuring every donor experience reflects the same relationship-first approach.
Major Gifts Officer
This is relationship-building with real stakes. As our Major Gift Officer, you’ll manage a portfolio of major donors and prospects, connecting their goals to our mission and turning genuine relationships into the philanthropy that fuels our work.
Corporate Relationship Specialist
Own the partnership, own the impact. As our Corporate Relationship Specialist, you’ll manage a portfolio of corporate partners with real independence — from proposal to sponsorship to stewardship — building the kind of business relationships that grow into lasting mission support.
Leadership Annual Giving Officer
You’re the bridge to what’s next. As our Leadership Annual Giving Officer, you’ll cultivate a portfolio of donors and guide their giving journey forward, turning today’s support into tomorrow’s major gifts.
Annual Giving Coordinator
Every campaign you coordinate deepens a connection. As our Annual Giving Coordinator, you’ll bring our appeals, monthly giving program and donor outreach to life — turning great ideas into consistent, well-run donor engagement.
Event Manager
Every event you coordinate builds momentum for our mission. As our Event Manager, you’ll create meaningful experiences — from signature galas to volunteer appreciation days — that engage donors, earn advocacy, and deepen their connection to our work.
Donor Services Specialist
When a gift gets complicated, you’re who we count on. As our Donor Services Specialist, you’ll handle complex gift processing and escalated donor issues, bringing sound judgment and steady expertise to every case.
Volunteer Coordinator
Volunteers are a critical part of how we get food to our community — you’ll make sure they thrive. As our Volunteer Coordinator, you’ll recruit, train, and engage a volunteer network that’s essential to our operations, setting people up to do meaningful work and building relationships that last.

Operations
This is where our mission stops being a plan — and becomes a promise kept.
Every strategy we write, every dollar we raise, every program we design — none of it matters until food reaches a neighbor who needs it. That is what our Operations team makes happen, every single day. From our warehouse floors to our delivery routes to the Agency Partner support we provide to serve Oʻahu and Kauaʻi, this is the team where our mission becomes real and our promises are fulfilled.
Operations roles at Hawaiʻi Foodbank are not background work. They are the heartbeat of everything we do. Our drivers, warehouse team members and Agency Partner support staff are the face of our mission to the communities we serve — and the reason our neighbors can count on us. If you are someone who takes pride in doing essental work with care, consistency and aloha, this is where you belong.

Agency Partner Program Assistant
You’ll be the support system behind our support system. As our Agency Partner Services Assistant, you’ll help onboard, train and troubleshoot for the 250+ agency partners who bring food access to neighbors across our islands.
Warehouse Support
You’re the engine that keeps food moving. As our Warehouse Support team member, you’ll pick, pack and fulfill orders in a fast-paced operation that gets food from our doors to agency partners across the islands.
Warehouse Sanitation Specialist
You make it possible for food to move safely. As our Warehouse Sanitation Specialist, you’ll keep our facility clean, compliant and running to food safety standards so the rest of the operation can do its job.
