State of Hawai‘i

Kōkua Food Drive

November 3-7

Join the State of Hawai‘i's weeklong food drive in partnership with the Hawai‘i State Public Library System to support food banks across Hawai‘i.

From November 3 to 7, residents are encouraged to bring canned goods and other nonperishable food items to their local public library during regular business hours. Donations will be distributed by Hawaiʻi Foodbank and its hunger relief partners to ensure residents continue to have access to food during this challenging time.

All library branches across the state will serve as collection hubs, except for the Kāne‘ohe and Wahiawā branches, which have limited space, and Lahaina, which is closed.

For all branch hours and locations, visit here.

In addition to the libraries, food donations are also being collected at the Office of the Lieutenant Governor at the Hawaiʻi State Capitol during regular business hours, Monday through Friday, 7:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

You can also support the Kōkua Food Drive by making an online donation, which is the quickest and most efficient way to make an impact.

All food and monetary donations will remain on the island on which they were made to assist local families and neighbors. Select an option below to designate your donation:

Food will be distributed by the following local food banks: Hawai‘i Foodbank on O‘ahu, Hawai‘i Foodbank Kaua‘i on Kaua‘i, Maui Food Bank on Maui and The Food Basket on Hawai‘i Island.
